'Holding Cell' Devlog: Attack Route - Sequence 1
Project Smile Development Log:
Within less than 5 hours, I created 2-3 seconds of Sequence 1 in the Attack route. With 3 animations for 3 characters and a script that involves Player Interference.
Now, when I say 'Player Interference' I mean when the Player gets involved and makes changes, such as doing actions that result in different outcomes or making the scene be more different than if the player does nothing.
In this case, it's the latter, when Egbert charges towards Oliver, the player would be knocked back, movement controls would be disabled, and it would go into the cutscene of the Attack route (which will be in Sequence 2-3).
I can see this being something that can be found by accident or by the player's position, as it depends on where the player is during the event.
Though only Sequence 1 is done, I still have a lot of work for this route, from art to programming. Hopefully, I get the route done before 2026. And when it's done, it will be easier to do another route that has a similar pattern, but with one addition.
