After a long amount of time trying to put it all together, I am happy to put the Hotfix Update that brings you FREE TIME MODE!

Just like in Danganronpa, Free Time Mode allows you to explore the bunker, collect items you can use for gifts and hang out with your favourite cartoon character!

This update will also feature the return and improved Saving system that will track your progress, so you can take a break and go back to where you left off.

and with the Free Time Hotfix Update released! this marks the conclusion of Chapter 1: Daily Life and I can now start working on Chapter 1: Deadly Life, which also means that the video version of Chapter 1: Daily Life will also be in development, expect them in the new year of 2025!

One more thing, it is important while I have tested the game myself and it works okay, there might be a chance that there might be some issues that might occur if you play it. if you do encounter any issues, it is important to let me know about it so I can try to fix it as soon as I am able to.

Additions:

- Added Json file saving.

- Put back in Save Level progression and added checkpoint in Chapter 1: Daily Life.

- Adjusted the main menu for the saving

- Changed 'Prologue' and 'Chapter 1' with 'New Game' and 'Load Game'

- New Game will start the game from the prologue

- Load Game will start in the level after the checkpoint where the player saved.

- Added text on the bottom right of the menu to tell the player where they are in the story.

- Added a new 'New game Warning' where a Warning pops up to tell the player that by doing a new game, all progression in the current save file will be lost, giving the player a chance to either proceed with a new game data or cancel it.

- Put back 'Load Game' being unavailable to click on if the player doesn't have a save file.

- Added FREE TIME MODE

- In this mode, the player can roam around the Bunker and hang out with one of the cast members. the features that are included in Free Time Mode are

- Monocoins - The Currency of CiDR2.

- The Gumball Machine - Where the player can get a randomly generated gift item.

- Talk to characters - Approach characters to talk and hang out with.

- Gift giving - Give the character one of the gifts you have to increase relationship levels.

- Friendship Level Conversations - Special conversations when the player managed to reach a certain level (Max out at 5, but will start at 2, more levels will come in future chapters.)

- Added 'Inventory' in the menu, the button appears when the player reaches the first Free Time Mode sequence.

- 10 items are added in the Gumball Machine to collect.

- Added 3 new Dolls and properly implemented 2 existing dolls for Free Time Mode.

- Added Yumyulack's voice lines.

- Remade Phineas' sprites and a scene of him to fit more of the art style of the show he's from (coloured Outline hair and skin, black outlines on clothes).

Known issues/bugs:

- Huey's movement animation can sometimes not work, most notably when you are holding a move button while transitioning or unpausing.

- clips on Doll are not entirely transparent, you might see a green/pink screen effect.

- Text of music in the Character Introduction level in the Prologue isn't shown (this will be fixed in the next update)

- (Possible) if you quit the game or go back to menu during the hallway section after the Character Introduction and go back into the game, there is a chance that the game will crash if you try to interact with the Storage Room in the hallway section.
